Simon Pegg who is playing Montgomery Scott in the 2009 Star Trek movie talked about his role with Wired.com while kicking off a four city tour of the United States to promote his UK Comedy "Spaced"

Pegg says that Scotty is a fun stereotype and says it is not an accident that the Chief Engineer aboard the Enterprise is Scottish saying that many important inventions have come out of Scotland

Pegg also talks about Chris Pine's performance as James T Kirk saying that Pine's performance gave him spine tingling moments and also Chris Pine has the swagger that William Shatner had when he played Kirk.
