While it's already been confirmed that Heroes' Zachary Quinto has landed the role of Spock in the upcoming Star Trek XI movie, most of the other major roles are still open. So, what are they looking for? Well, a leaked casting sheet gives us a few clues:
Kirk - an actor between 23 and 29, "handsome, cocky, self-assured, and earnest." And of course he'll have to be in "great physical condition," or who would land all the babes?? ...

McCoy - an actor between 28 and 32, with dark hair and blue eyes, "smart, clever, and a bit danger-loving."

Uhura - a "brilliant, beautiful, heroic, and fun" black woman in her mid 20's, able to get along with the guys because she's a little tom-boyish, acts like she "grew up in a houseful of brothers."

Sulu - an actor between 25 and 32, Asian and preferably Japanese, extremely fit, dedicated to Star Fleet and capable of whatever he puts his mind to.

Scotty - an actor between 28 and 32, a "brilliant ship's engineer," and of course a "flawless Scottish accent" is absolutely essential.

The casting agents had better get on the ball; filming is scheduled to begin this November, with a Christmas 2008 release date planned.
